The Bearfoot Hookers are a fiercely independent, honest and scrappy band that blends traditional country, blues, and rock & roll sounds into a mixture they call Beer Drinkin Gospel. Its edgy like Johnny Cash, groovy like the Stones, often witty like Todd Snider, and full of swampy grit and flavor like Lynyrd Skynyrd and Gram Parsons. Hooker songs make you want to dance, sing, holler, drink, and, if the opportunity presents itself, wrestle an alligator. This band will rock and roll you like a whiskey powered runaway locomotive. The Gram Parsons Guitar Pull draws artists from all over Abby happens to be a Waycross Georgia home-grown artist and her singing style is a tribute to both Gram Parsons and Emmylou Harris in this cover of "Boulder to Birmingham". Abbys duo partner Vic Stanley is a singer song writer of great talent and manages the Hummingbirds Stage in Macon, GA. In my view her career should skyrocket. It was a pleasure to be the closest to the duo. Vic is totally cool while Abby is obviously the real deal in this report.
