Streets of Baltimore – Gram Parsons (Ukulele cover)

Just showing off my new Ohana Vita ukulele (CKP-70R). Odd shape, dontcha think? The song is Streets of Baltimore by the late great Gram Parsons. First take as usual. Thanks to Deach for being the most generous, gentlest, and kindest giant in all the land. www.youtube.com oh and if you havent already, check out www.ukuleleunderground.com and keep on rockin in the free world! Correction from EmilyUpJohn: This song was written in 1966 by Harlan Howard and Tompall Glaser. It was recorded by various other country stars (Bobby Bare, Charley Pride) before Gram Parsons recorded it in 1973.

Gram Parsons joins the Byrds

Fom the Gandulf Hennig film FALLEN ANGEL. I was in the superdome during Katrina and met this cat obsessed with Gram Parsons. said he met his sister, been up to the house, etc I had heard "sweetheart of the rodeo" so I knew a little bit about Gram. when i got out i bought the gpgrievous angel cd and "gilded palace of sin" and kinda became a little obsessed myself. later i found the FALLEN ANGEL dvd at best buy and Its a great film! backs up everything that dude in the dome said about Gram. I claim FAIR USE in posting this clip and encourage everybody to rent or buy this fantastic and one of the best rock documentaries I have ever seen.
