6. The Bitch Is Back/Brown Sugar (Elton John – Live in Mansfield : 8/2/1989)

Alright you crazy people! For my next upload, I am returning to Eltons 1989 US tour with one of the earlier recordings from the tour! This show is complete and in soundboard quality which means we pick up every single nuance from the recording! Eltons voice is not entirely in good shape plus his mental state of mind is not good later on in the show especially as most songs has him mess up the arrangements by playing bad chords throughout songs! However as a saving grace, the band are in good shape and playing consistently well during the show! Onto the setlist! Bennie And The Jets is something that does not sound appealing in the slightest from the instrumentation to Eltons singing but he hits all three B4 falsetto notes which I find shocking, Island Girl which has more growling but has the typical high notes which I cant believe considering how rough he sounds plus he goes down the wrong street during the first verse, Harmony is a sound performance, Tiny Dancer which isnt the best performance but at least Elton remembers the words, Sleeping With The Past which has unappealing vocals plus Elton flubs the words, The Bitch Is BackBrown Sugar with unappealing vocals, I Guess Thats Why They Call It The Blues with a bad introduction plus not so good vocals, Mona Lisas And Mad Hatters Part 1 sounds good, Part 2 is bad with Elton not knowing the words plus he sounds rough however the jam is very nice, Funeral For A Friend contains some of the worst chords ever played <b>…<b>
