The Last Time – Agnetha Fältskog (video) :)

The video for "The Last Time" was recorded a couple of days before Christmas 87 in Stockholm. The director Marcello Ansiano let a whole studio number 1 at the Film House in Stockholm re-build to a room full with furniture. A young blonde guy played Agnethas lover. "The Last Time" is the first single from Agnetha Fältskogs third English solo-album I Stand Alone, released in 1987. "The Last Time" was released as both 7 and 12 inch singles, as well as a 3 inch CD. The latter two also featured an extended version of the song. The song contained a different sound from Fältskogs previous work due to the West Coast American influences of the producers, Peter Cetera and Bruce Gaitsch. Despite a modern sound and a well-known producer, the single was not a resounding success. Fältskog did promote the song, including visiting London in February 1988, but the single only reached No.77 in the UK. In The Netherlands, where Fältskog traditionally had a large fan base, the single peaked at No. 40. For the South American market, Fältskog recorded a Spanish version of "The Last Time" called "La Ultima Vez." This version also appeared on the South American version of the album and is considered to be a rare recording. Lyrics: English version of La última vez (Robin Randall, Judithe Randall Jeff Law) Oh, I cant believe the time has come, What can I do, theres no place to run Hold me close, its not too much to ask Help me forget, tonight might be our last Dont let it pass. Mick Taylor’s ‘Slow Blues’ from self titled album.

The 1979 self titled Mick Taylor album ( copyright Sony Music ) had a couple of fine instrumentals particularly "Slow Blues" . The drummer on this tune was Pierre Moerlen (who also played with Gomg and Brand X) . This album was released for a time on CD in the 1990s , but is now unavailable . Excuse the audio quality of this , for this video I just put speakers next to a camera.

ZZ Top – Brown Sugar – full song cover – Les Paul 50th Anniv Murphy R8 Japan

One of my favourite tunes ever. Guitar is tuned a bit higher, at A443, but I think its still a little flat compared to the tuning on the record. Sorry, I dont have tabs.

It was released in December 1968 by Decca Records in the United Kingdom and London Records in the United States. It marked a return to the bands R&B roots, generally viewed as more primal than the conspicuous psychedelia of Their Satanic Majesties Request. It also started off a string of four LPs that is usually regarded as the bands finest work.
