May 2009 Finally!!! After 5 longgggggggg years of lobbying for ONE Rolling Stones song, my daughters School Orchestra plays SATISFACTION by The Rolling Stones. Our City never sounded so rockn! Mick and Keith would be proud. Every year all the string players in the 5th through 8th grade School Orchestra perform a "Concert In The Park" as a thank you to the City of Medina. There are over 300 kids that play in the Orchestra. The kids work very hard throughout the year mastering music meant for above their grade level. Medina has an awesome strings program. I owe the Orchestra Conductor a HUGE thanks for being such a great teacher! I listened from the front row with our Stones shirts proudly displayed and lighters torched at the end.
