The Rolling Stones main axe-man, Keith Richards, has long been the stuff of interview legend. So, when writer Kris Needs was asked to do the sole interview the great man agreed to conduct to promote the Lets Spend The Night Together film in 1983, he jumped at the chance. What transpired was a candid chat about this Stones loves, hates, and very essence. Enthusiastic, hilarious and always charming, the guitarist seemed to take Needs under his wing, offering a rare insight into his personal approach to life. Huddled round a bottle of the trusty JD, and with plenty of Malboros to hand, the interview was nothing short of revelatory.
