It was also the b side (if anyone can believe that!) of their single "Honky Tonk Woman" The song was recorded at Olympic Studios in London and released on both the Decca and London labels. You Cant Always Get What You Want was named the 100 Greatest song of all time by Rolling Stone magazine in its 2004 list of the 500 Greatest Songs of all Time. The song has an interesting history with Al Kooper playing piano, organ and French Horn. Stones drummer Charlie Watts couldnt play the groove, said Jagger, so Stones producer Jimmy Miller played the drums.
